Solid state drives (SSD) and hard disk drives (HDD) are data storage devices. SSDs store data in flash memory (electronic circuits), while HDDs store data in mechanically-moving, magnetic platters. SSDs offer more speed and efficiency. However, HDDs are a more cost-efficient option.
